HOW TO FIND A LOCAL SUPPORT GROUP
You’ll want to be in touch with a local homeschool group — they offer all sorts of good stuff, including field trips, activities, co-ops & classes, curriculum fairs, legislative updates, and more.
Many homeschool support groups are listed on the web, but many are not. See the links below to find groups in your area, but also be sure to use these methods to search for groups:
- Ask at your local library. They’ll probably know of homeschoolers and will be willing to give your name and number to them.
- Call local churches. Most homeschool groups meet at churches. Even if they don’t, it’s likely they’ll know some homeschoolers they can put you in touch with.
- Check the Yellow Pages under “Schools” or “Education.” Some groups have listings.
